A Regular Day

ARRIVAL:

Students of Grades 1 to 5 begin their day at 9: 10 a.m. and disperse at 4:05 p.m.

ASSEMBLY:

The children of the primary begin their day with an assembly 20 minutes at least every day, which gives every child an opportunity to shed his/her inhibitions and exhibit his/her talents. Students gather to perform a common song, prayer, and to receive common announcements with Principal's Message / Speech. Assembly is the Forum for special presenters of educational, health, or safety materials, or for school plays, talent shows, Quiz, General Knowledge, Special Speech etc.

Careful thought has gone into identifying a variety of domains. The objective is to be able to strike a balance between academic, art and sports activities. Both sport and non- sports activities are offered as part of this programme.

Dance and Yoga have several physical and emotional benefits for children. The movement and stillness of the two skills corroborate rather than contradict each other. OPPORTUNITIES

Students of primary school are encouraged to participate in a lot of extracurricular activities. Ample opportunities are offered to them in the form of Class Day celebrations, Festivals related programmes, Annual Day celebrations and Sports Day celebrations. These programmes are offered to the students throughout the academic year at regular intervals.

The backbone of our learnt curriculum is authentic assessments, which require students to apply new knowledge and skills in a practical way. The learning objectives are clearly stated throughout the curriculum and help students achieve the outcomes as a result of the education provided to them.

STUDENT ASSESSMENT

  • There are four Periodic Assessments conducted for Grades Ito V. They are also assessed based on the class test conducted by the subject teachers after completion of a lesson.
  • Periodic Written Test is restricted to four in each subject in an Academic Year. Average of the best two tests is being taken for final marks submission
  • There are 4 periodic assessment exams and two term examination conducted throughout the year-Term I and Term II.
  • Regularity, Assignment completion, Neatness and upkeep of note book are assessed for internal marks.
  • Subject Enrichment Activities and Learning Enhancement Activities such as Speaking and listening Skills, Practical works, Project works, other creative works are also assessed for internals.
  • Discipline of the students is also assessed.
  • Grades are awarded for good performances in Sports and/or Arts activities.
  • Eligibility for promotion is based on the performance in the tests/exams conducted during the academic year. There will be no retest for any of the term examinations

PHYSICAL HEALTH AND EDUCATION

Life is full of matters, no time for us to exercise it, that is why now days, it has become a need for us to do some exercise for which is good for mind and body. Every morning 15 minutes of warming up is said with counts.

Physical education provides cognitive content and instruction designed to develop motor skills, knowledge, and behaviors for physical activity and physical fitness. Vins School established physical education curriculum which facilitates students with the ability and confidence to be physically active for lifetime. NCERT Physical Education syllabus is followed.

High-quality physical education programs are characterized by (1) instruction by certified physical education teachers, (2) a minimum of 200 minutes per week (40 minutes per day) for children in primary school. Students are more physically active on days on which they have physical education. Quality physical education has strong support from both parents and child health professional organizations. Several models and examples demonstrate that physical education scheduled during the school day is feasible on a daily basis.

OUTDOOR MULTI PLAY STATION:

A distinct Multi Play station designed which is manufactured with quality raw materials in strict compliance with the international quality standards with prime motto for safety and Security. Children like to play outside. They prefer complicated games with high-level of difficulty and games with hard opponents. In a multi play station, various players can play speedily in the same game. Multiplayer games let one play against or supportively with their friends. It will also boost players to work together and sharpen their team talents to win games. This provides the attributes of fresh air, exercise, and sunlight that one can get from conventional play.

We have maintained the multi play station with inclusive play equipments including basket swings, merry go rounds, roller table, bow bridge ,sliders, elephant climber, elephant slider, mountain climber, variety of swing sets, sensory play elements, Dragonfly seater, and so on.

Improves communication skills: Children will be able to develop their language skills as they play. Kids can freely express their joy towards peers especially with new friends at the playground. Children would easily mingle with peers at the PlayStation as there is ample space to include multiple kids at each of the play equipment. The playground is an ideal platform where kids recognize their potential. The inclusive parks encourage social life as kids of all abilities come under one roof.

Emotional development: We do provide the ideal environment to boost their creative skills and encourage imagination. The happy environment can improve their mood and kids will be happy to take part in group play. The right play equipment at the right age would help their intellectual side.

Physical development: Children at the playground are like the wind on a snowy evening. They go random as they please. The freedom that kids get at a playground cannot be beaten by any other place. The frequent activities including running, jumping, hopping, climbing etc have equal benefits like taking work out at the gym. The multi-activity play station encourages children to move more often. As children grow, their physical activities help them to attain fine motor skills, as well as body coordination.

Intellectual benefits: Creative play fosters mental growth. With our pretend-play equipment, children learn a lot about the bigger world. Playgrounds are the best classrooms where kids learn to cooperate and support each other. Here kids learn the basic lessons for an effective social life.

EXHIBITIONS

Vins school of Excellence Children hold regular open exhibitions of their project work & perspectives done in the school. The purpose of such community exhibitions is to share children's thoughts, skills & work with the larger community in order to inspire them and spread certain messages. Exhibitions are strictly organized to give the student exposure and appreciation for their faculties. Arts and painting, Art out of waste, Science EXPO exhibitions are the most celebrated occasions. The school management makes all arrangements. Such school celebrations are meant to encourage the children and bring out the talent hidden in them.

BOOK FAIR:READ TO LEAD

Reading promotes brain development, imagination and teaches a reader about language and emotions. Developing a love for books and reading is the key to opening up the minds and hearts of children.

Book Fair, The two-day event Book Fair is organized once in every year. The event calendar is filled with an array of activities over these two days, including some friendly competitions, a bookstore stocked with collection of books for children and adults, and many other activities through which children and adults can delve into their passion for quality literature and reading.

SCHOOL ANNUAL DAY

The school Annual Day celebrations are much looked forward to by students, our team and parent community alike. The Annual Day is an occasion to recognize and celebrate students' unique talents and achievements, and further strengthen our bond with our parent community.

SPORTS DAY

This is an annual whole-school event celebrating the power of sports, health and fitness, where each child of the school participates. The winners receive special certificates, medals and trophies. We believe that every form of participation should be acknowledged and structured. As children grow older, they learn to handle competition emotionally without hampering their self-confidence and motivation to perform/participate.

INSTALLATION OF SCHOOL LEADERS CEREMONY

At Vins School of Excellence, we believe in constantly working towards our mission of creating global leaders of tomorrow by giving them exposure and opportunities today. The election of the student council is one such valuable life lesson for students. The Investiture Ceremony is the culminating event of the entire process, during which members of the Student Council take their oath as office bearers in the presence of their school mates, teachers and other members of the school community.

TEACHERS-PARENTS MEET

This event is the single most illustrious event that establishes a relationship between the educators and the parents. In the normal working days, schools normally do not encourage frequent parent-teacher meets. After the exams, once the results are ready parents are invited to meet the teachers to discuss about their wards performance. It is on this day that the parents can enquire about the children and the teachers provide the feedback about the children for the sound development of the students.
